Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India

It is truly a defining moment for CG3. We are celebrating the first anniversary. The events are scheduled for 25th of July 2021, Sunday at 10 am. The release of this souvenir marks that jubilant occasion. CG3 is Connecting Governed Governing & Governance. It is floated by a registered trust of the same name.

COVID-19 struck hard India and the world in March 2020. The impact was terrible. National lock-down was imposed. Movement of people and products prevented. Normal life was affected. It was stand still all around. Physical world was substituted with virtual one. Universe shrank to a single space. Life changed, life style changed. Known and tested were overtaken by unknown and untested. There was bewilderment. Human mind came under severe stress. Information, misinformation and disinformation started running helter skelter. A few like-minded people in Kerala and Delhi put their heads together to start a platform to launch a platform for confluence of ideas and action, for planning and programme, for policy and projects. The result is CG3. Our theme is connectivity; our aim is connectivity; and our accomplishment during the last one year of CG3’s performance is connectivity. Connectivity of ideas, people, places, events and knowledge. The pages ahead vouchsafe for this. The days ahead for CG3 is underlined to pursue its theme of connectivity. We have already held more than ten webinars on various topics of contextual significance. We hold brain storming sessions on every Saturday in the Legal Group meet by debating issues with a talk by a member of CG3. We have launched an ambitious programme called LAMP–Legal Awareness and Motivation Programme for school students. We are launching an ambitious project for lending legal support to elected members of the Local Self Governing Institutions through conducting state-wide workshops and staying connected to them for continued activity. This way CG3 takes on COVID-19 and the challenges posed by the pandemic. Connectivity make us win; disconnect make us loose. Let us stay connected.

“If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Thank You All.
